Knaresborough - Landscapes
Taken at Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, from the Castle grounds. The viaduct which crosses the river Nidd was near completetion, around 1846, when it collapsed and caused a damn in the river flooding the village. No one was killed and it was blamed on poor workmanship, and took 3 and a half years to rebuild.
